The roof system is the single most important element in any sunroom or conservatory. It is the first line of defense against the elements, protecting not only the structure's interior, but the foundation, windows and doors as well.

Often times with sunrooms and conservatories, construction restrictions start with the roof. For many companies complex angles and unique shapes proove an unscalable barrier to construction which severely limits the range of possible shapes and applications. This is not the case with K2 because we fabricate each component of our system. To K2, there is no such thing as a "non-standard" design. Any structure that can be built using traditional construction methods can be replicated with K2's conservatory.

ROOF SYSTEM FEATURES

Thermally Isolated, Thermally Clad

All major components including glazing bars, ridge and wall plate incorporate a thermal break to separate external and internal aluminum components. Additionally, all internal surfaces are thermally clad with vinyl, thereby preventing condensation.

Strong & Weather Tight

The K2 aluminum conservatory roof has the strength to resist wind and snow loads in all climate regions of the United States and Canada.

Long Lasting Finish

All exterior components are finished with DURACRON® extrusion coatings. DURACRON® extrusion coatings have set the standard for institutional and residential architectural applications such as windwow and door frames, railings and trim. It meets AAMA 2603 specifications and offers good film integrity, color control and mar resistance.

Various Glazing Options

The K2 roof is designed to accommodate any glazing with a 1" overall thickness. This includes multi-wall polycarbonate, acrylic panels and tempered safety glass.

Dry-Fit Before Shipping

Each conservatory roof is errected and dismantled before being crated and shipped. This insures that the dimensions and specifications match with what was ordered. Each component arrives to our customer cut, drilled and labeled to correspond with detailed computer assisted drawings, making installation fool proof.
