Roof Lanterns
Lanterns

A Royal Crown for Your Conservatory

Formed by a second tier of windows above the main roof, lanterns add height and presence to the overall structure of a conservatory. The volume of interior space that is created as a result makes this the perfect finishing touch, especially for a large scale design.

Aside from the obvious aesthetic appeal of the roof lantern, its shape also assists with an important function: ventilation. The same property that adds scale to your conservatory also encourages natural air flow through it. The automated awning windows in each roof lantern provides an escape for the warm air that collects in the lantern, encouraging the cooler air at ground level to flow in and cool the conservatory’s main living area.

We use aluminum as the backbone of our structures due to its strength, versatility, lightweight nature and resistance to the elements. We finish it with vinyl because of its weatherability and insulating properties. What's more, K2 systems can be tailored to your own specific requirements and are complimented by a variety of ancillary products and glazing -- including our own high performance glass. Plus, all components are produced in-house so we can monitor and maintain standards at every stage.

The roof system is the single most important element in any conservatory. It is the first line of defense against the elements, protecting not only the conservatory interior, but the foundation, windows and doors as well.

Often times with sunrooms and conservatories, construction restrictions start with the roof. For many companies complex angles, soft curves and unique shapes proove an unscalable barrier to construction which severely limits the range of possible shapes and applications. This is not the case with K2 because we fabricate each component of our system. To K2, there is no such thing as a "non-standard" design.
